Botanical Name:(Citrus Limonum)

Description:Antiseptic and antibacterial - In the past, on long sea voyages the use of fresh lemons saved from scurvy. Today Lemon Essential Oil has the same degree of usefulness as a water purifier. Taken orally (e.g. two or three drops in a teaspoon of honey) it is antiseptic.

Tonic and stimulating - Has a tonic action on the lymphatic system and a stimulating action on the digestive system. It will assist in slimming, help to disperse cellulite and keep wrinkles at bay. It has strongly stimulating powers, increases performance, increases concentration, strengthens attention. It awakens vital energies, gives confidence and self-confidence. It stimulates lymphatic and venous circulation, strengthens blood vessels and fluidifies the blood. Excellent against disorders due to poor circulation such as heavy legs, oedemas, cellulite, varicose veins and fragile capillaries and chilblains. It helps in case of liver failure and high blood pressure. It supports and instills courage and determination.

Calming - Inhaled (e.g., suffumigias, fumenti) is calming on the psyche and nervous system, helps in anxiety disorders, nervousness that causes headaches or insomnia.

Antibiotic - Excellent antibiotic, very useful from the first appearance of flu symptoms, such as fever, cold, cough and sore throat. Antibiotic and hemostatic properties are useful in case of infected wounds, tissue infections, stomatitis, labial herpes, inflamed or bleeding gums.

Depurative - Detoxifies from excess toxins, stimulates liver and pancreas function and promotes digestion. Frictionized (e.g. diluted in sweet almond oil) promotes the formation of new cells in the epidermis, combats cellular aging processes and at the same time promotes healing. It is indicated for skins with sun spots or old age spots, wrinkles and stretch marks.

Finally - It is indispensable as an agent that gives fragrance and flavor. Lemon essential oil improves the assimilation of iron naturally present in food.
